can i feel like a stream of smoke off of a stick of incense....
                                                   raised from the physical world
                                  and feeling free like the air I breathe

or must i stay
                tired sick and alone
                                    on the only earth i've known
where i know there is food and water
                                             and a warm couch to sleep.
